America Is Back in the Factory Business
U.S. manufacturing construction spending is at a record high, due to green-energy incentives and concerns about foreign supply chains.
The production of U.S. factories increased last year. However, few things were produced faster than the factories themselves.
Census Bureau data shows that construction spending on manufacturing will reach $108 billion by 2022. This is the highest amount ever recorded. It's more than what was spent building schools, hospitals, or office buildings.
