The production of U.S. factories increased last year. However, few things were produced faster than the factories themselves.

Census Bureau data shows that construction spending on manufacturing will reach $108 billion by 2022. This is the highest amount ever recorded. It's more than what was spent building schools, hospitals, or office buildings.
