2126 GMT: Australia's S&P/ASX 200 is expected to open flat, following a weak U.S. lead. Tech stocks in the U.S. have again dragged major indices down. ASX futures barely move ahead of the opening, with a two-point drop at 6811, indicating uncertainty among traders after five losses in six sessions. The ASX 200 has three trading days left in October. It is currently down 3.35 percent and could surpass the 3.5% drop from September to have its worst month since 2022. The Nasdaq Composite fell 1.8% due to weakness in tech shares, including Meta Platforms and Alphabet, parent company of Google. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.8% and the S&P 500 lost 1.2%. ().
