China Urges Australia to Treat All Firms, Including TikTok Fairly

BEIJING, China (Reuters) – China has said that Australia’s "discriminatory” ban on TikTok on all federal government-owned mobile devices harms Australian businesses and public. It urged Canberra to treat all companies fairly.

The statement stated that "Australia treated TikTok different from other social media platforms, and adopted discriminatory restrictive measure which is not conducive to maintaining Australia’s national security".

China also called on Australia to create an enabling environment for economic and trade relations between the two countries.
