Apple issued an apology on Thursday for a recent advertisement promoting its new iPad Pro tablet. The video showcased various creative tools being crushed and compressed into the tablet, which received negative feedback from viewers who found it offensive and out of touch. Critics suggested that the backlash reflected a decline in customer goodwill towards the company. This is not the first time an iPad ad from Apple has irritated customers. In 2018, an ad featuring a child questioning the need for a computer also garnered criticism. Apple’s marketing VP expressed regret for missing the mark with the video.
