On Tuesday, President Joe Biden is scheduled to travel to Michigan and join members of the United Auto Workers Union on the picket lines. The president was under political pressure to increase his public support of the union members.

Biden stated on Friday that it was time for a win/win agreement to keep American auto manufacturing thriving and UAW jobs well-paid.
Biden's visit, and the historic appearance of the president on a picket-line, highlights the political opportunity at a time when the strike against three of the largest automakers in the United States -- General Motors Ford and Stellantis – enters its second full week.
